| Comprehensive Physical Examination (CPE)
A Comprehensive Physical Examination (CPE) is composed of two parts. The first involves a scheduled appointment with the medical assistants to perform various diagnostic tests. These include blood work, urinalysis, EKG, and pulmonary function (breathing). These tests require approximately 30 minutes to complete.
The second part of the CPE is the actual appointment with your physician, who will perform a comprehensive history and physical examination and then discuss the results of your examination and testing.
If you have not had Part I done, please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment so the medical assistants can perform the required tests. In this case, you will need to fast as per the instructions below.
A member of our staff will attempt to contact you 24 to 72 hours prior to your appointment to confirm it with you and discuss any questions that you may have. If you do not hear from us within 24 hours of your appointment, please call our office. Since a large block of the physician's time has been set aside for your visit, we request that you notify us at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment if you need to cancel.
To insure the accuracy of the tests being performed, please follow these instructions:
